KTOEÖS to hold afternoon strike in Güzelyurt and Lefke region schools tomorrow

In a statement made by KTOEÖS President Ahmet Karaoğulları, it was stated that within the scope of the strike, a press statement and protest will be held at 14:00 at the Güzelyurt roundabout (in front of the terminal).

The statement argued that demands regarding the loss of rights of teachers appointed after the enactment of the Law on the Regulation of Monthly Salaries (Wages) and Other Allowances of Public Employees, referred to as the Single Social Security Law and the Migration Law, have not been taken into consideration, saying, “We will show our reaction with our strike and protest against this mindset that ignores teachers and their union, and attempts to suppress our rights, freedoms, and working conditions.”
