Rubber mark removal work to be carried out on RWY 11R/29L runway at Ercan Airport

According to the statement made by the Ministry, the runway in question will be closed to landing and takeoff traffic between 00:30 and 05:30 every day from October 19 to October 24, and between 00:30 and 04:30 every day from October 25 to November 8, in accordance with the NOTAM (Notice to Air Missions) published today.

The statement noted that the work carried out to clean the rubber marks formed on the runway surface during aircraft landings is performed at certain intervals every year in order to protect flight safety and maintain the operational standards of the runway.
