Crackdown on illegal residence: 37 people arrested nationwide

During nationwide inspections carried out by police teams, 37 people were arrested after it was determined that they were residing in the TRNC without a legal status or residence permit.

According to information provided by the Police Press Office, checks and inspections were conducted across the country on October 16, 2026, as part of the fight against illegal residence.

During the audits, a total of 37 individuals were identified and arrested for living in the country without a legal status.

Legal proceedings have been initiated against the individuals in question, and the investigation is ongoing.
