Four people arrested for possession of prohibited substances

In the TRNC, four people were arrested yesterday for the crime of unlawful possession of drugs.

According to information provided by the police, a search was conducted at the home of S.I. (M-44) in Hamitköy by teams from the Narcotics and Smuggling Prevention Directorate and the Crime Prevention Branch (CPB) of the Nicosia Police Directorate. During the searches, approximately 80 grams of a substance believed to be Indian hemp type drugs were found in the suspect’s possession. The individual in question was arrested.

In a housing estate in İskele, a search was conducted on H.T. (M-23), who was deemed suspicious by the teams of the Crime Prevention Branch (CPB) affiliated with the İskele Police Directorate, and at his home in Nicosia. During the searches, 110 grams of a substance believed to be Indian hemp type drugs and a sensitive scale believed to have drug residue on it were found in the suspect’s possession. The individual in question was arrested.

– A piece of paper believed to contain drugs was found

During a search conducted by teams from the Güzelyurt Police Directorate on the Nicosia-Güzelyurt main road, in a vehicle driven by S.K. (M-36) with E.T. (M-31) as a passenger, a piece of paper believed to contain synthetic cannabinoid type drugs was found. The individuals in question were arrested.

Police investigations into the incidents are ongoing.
