Erhürman to consult political parties ahead of leaders’ meeting
President Tufan Erhürman has invited representatives of political parties with seats in the parliament to a meeting to provide information about his contacts in Ankara and to consult with them ahead of the upcoming leaders’ meeting scheduled for 20 November.
The meeting, which will take place at 12:00 at the Presidency, will be attended by Leader of the National Unity Party (UBP) Prime Minister Ünal Üstel, Deputy Leader of the Republican Turkish Party (CTP) Erkut Şahali, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister for Tourism, Culture, Youth and Environment and Leader of the Democratic Party (DP) Fikri Ataoğlu, and Minister for Public Works and Transportation and Leader of the Rebirth Party (YDP) Erhan Arıklı, Leader of the People’s Party (HP) Kudret Özersay and Leader of the Social Democratic Party (TDP)
Zeki Çeler.
President Erhürman is expected to share details of his visit to Ankara and gather assessments from the parties ahead of his first meeting with Greek Cypriot Leader Nikos Christodoulides.
