President Erhürman congratulates Nesil Çalışkan and Natalie Süleyman on new duties

President Tufan Erhürman has sent separate congratulatory letters to Nesil Çalışkan, who was appointed as a Minister of State in the United Kingdom, and to Australian state minister Natalie Süleyman, whose portfolio in the state of Victoria has been expanded.

In his letters, Erhürman wished both ministers success in their new duties and described their achievements as a major source of pride for Turkish Cypriots worldwide.

President Tufan Erhürman congratulated Nesil Çalışkan on her appointment as one of the ministers of state at the United Kingdom’s Ministry of Housing, Communities and Local Government.

Erhürman said the position undertaken by Çalışkan carried great meaning and pride for Turkish Cypriots living abroad, adding that he appreciated her years of dedicated public service and wished her success in her new role.

He also stressed that Çalışkan’s achievement set an inspiring example for younger generations of Turkish Cypriots and demonstrated the growing contribution of multicultural communities in the United Kingdom to democratic public life.

President Erhürman also congratulated Australian minister Natalie Süleyman after tourism was added to her areas of responsibility in the state of Victoria.

In his letter, Erhürman said the expansion of Süleyman’s portfolio was another major source of pride for Turkish Cypriots around the world, and expressed his hope that both ministers would continue making valuable contributions through public service.
