Erhürman and Christodoulides to meet tomorrow

President Tufan Erhürman and Greek Cypriot leader Nikos Christodoulides will meet tomorrow at the residence of the UN Secretary-General’s Special Representative in the buffer zone.

According to information provided by the Presidency, the meeting between President Tufan Erhürman and Greek Cypriot leader Nikos Christodoulides will take place tomorrow at 4pm at the residence of the UN Secretary-General’s Special Representative in the buffer zone.

The meeting will be closed to the press.

The two leaders last met on April 6.

Following that meeting, the United Nations stated that the leaders had exchanged views on substantive issues and the way forward.

The UN statement also noted that the leaders welcomed the determination and commitment of the UN Secretary-General regarding the Cyprus issue and reiterated their readiness to continue supporting his efforts.

Progress achieved on confidence-building initiatives was also reviewed during the meeting, while the leaders instructed their representatives to continue discussions aimed at finalizing the issues under consideration.
