Yılmaz condemned throwing of stones and explosive materials at Turkish Cypriots

Turkish Vice President Cevdet Yılmaz condemned the throwing of stones and explosive materials at Turkish Cypriots at Yiğitler Burcu by a group in South Cyprus on the anniversary of the founding of EOKA.

“The responsibility for this grave incident lies with the Greek Cypriot administration, which for decades has glorified and heroized murderers and terrorists, has instilled in the minds of younger generations the perception that Turkish Cypriots are enemies and targets, and has increasingly distanced the Greek Cypriot community from the concept of living side by side in peace with their Turkish Cypriot neighbours” Yılmaz said.

In a post on his social media account, Yılmaz stated that he strongly condemned the attack carried out with stones and explosive materials against citizens of the Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus by remnants of the terrorist organization EOKA.
