PM Üstel meets with New Azerbaijan Party Deputy Chairman Budagov
National Unity Party (UBP) leader and Prime Minister Ünal Üstel met with the Deputy Chairman of the New Azerbaijan Party, Tahir Budagov, in the capital of Azerbaijan, Baku, where he is attending the Summit of Heads of Government of the Organisation of Turkic States.
Speaking at the meeting held at the headquarters of the New Azerbaijan Party, Prime Minister Üstel thanked Budagov and party officials for their warm reception and stressed the great importance of the strong support given to the Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus (TRNC) by Azerbaijani President and Chairman of the New Azerbaijan Party, Ilham Aliyev.
Pointing to the brotherhood between Türkiye, Azerbaijan, and the TRNC, Üstel said, “We express this brotherhood with the words ‘three states, one nation.’”
Referring to the cooperation agreement signed in 2023 between the Justice and Development Party (AKP), the National Unity Party, and the New Azerbaijan Party, Üstel described it as a historic step, noting that it represented not only an agreement between three parties but also a concrete reflection of the shared political vision of the three states.
Stressing the importance of strengthening inter-party relations, Üstel stated that the Youth Meeting held in the TRNC was one of the key examples of this cooperation in practice.
He also expressed his honour in participating in events organised by the New Azerbaijan Party in Shusha and said that with the further development of the shared vision, the brotherhood among the three countries would continue to grow stronger.
The Deputy Chairman of the New Azerbaijan Party, Tahir Budagov, said they were honoured to host Prime Minister Ünal Üstel from the brotherly country, the TRNC.
Noting that they had established a bond of brotherhood with the National Unity Party for some time, Budagov stated, “As the AKP, UBP, and the New Azerbaijan Party, we continue on our path with the understanding of three states, one nation.”
Budagov added that they aimed to further develop political, social, and cultural relations with the Turkish Cypriot people and invited Üstel to the political parties meeting to be held in Shusha.
