International veterinary congress held in TRNC

The TRNC has hosted a significant international veterinary event, bringing together leading figures in the field to exchange knowledge and expertise.

The 9th International Congress on Fertility and Udder Health in Farm Animals highlighted key developments in veterinary medicine, with a strong focus on improving livestock productivity and health.

Organised by the Cyprus Turkish Veterinary Academy, the congress was held at Concorde Luxury Resort Hotel, with participation exceeding 1,500 attendees.

Internationally recognised academics shared their knowledge and experience with participants from across the sector.

Minister of Agriculture and Natural Resources Hüseyin Çavuş also attended the event and addressed the congress.

Çavuş emphasised the importance of scientific production approaches and international knowledge sharing in advancing livestock farming in the TRNC.

He noted that the congress provided an important platform for veterinarians, academics, producers and sector representatives, adding that the latest insights in fertility management, udder health, milk productivity and modern herd management would help guide the future of local livestock farming.
