Government postpones port and customs strikes for 60 days

The Council of Ministers has decided to postpone two major strikes under the Collective Bargaining, Strike and Referendum Law.

The Council of Ministers ruled that the strikes launched at the Customs and Excise Department and the Ports Department, along with all affiliated units, would be postponed for 60 days.

The decision was taken on the grounds that the disruption of services could cause serious disorder.

Both decisions entered into force after being published in the Official Gazette.
