EU Coordination Center visits Ankara
The Prime Ministry’s European Union Coordination Center paid an official visit to Ankara.
During the visit, the delegation discussed EU processes, areas of cooperation, and joint projects.
According to a statement from the Prime Ministry’s European Union Coordination Center, officials from the Center visited Ankara between the 6th and 8th of April.
As part of the visit, EU-related processes, cooperation areas, and joint projects were discussed with institutions of the Republic of Türkiye.
The delegation met with Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Türkiye and Director for EU Affairs, Mehmet Kemal Bozay and exchanged views on ongoing work with the European Union and on strengthening coordination within the framework of Türkiye–TRNC relations.
During a meeting with the Chairman of the Turkish Grand National Assembly’s EU Harmonization Committee, Burhan Kayatürk, recent developments in the TRNC’s alignment process with the EU acquis and potential areas of cooperation were discussed.
The delegation also held talks with Director General of Foreign Relations at the Turkish Ministry of Agriculture and Forestry, Ferhat Çolak, focusing on international cooperation in agriculture, EU support mechanisms, and technical capacity building.
The statement noted that the contacts are expected to contribute to strengthening cooperation between Türkiye and the TRNC and enhancing coordination in processes carried out with the European Union.
