Earthquake awareness strengthened with new protocol

A cooperation protocol aimed at increasing earthquake awareness has been signed between the Geology and Mining Department, operating under the Ministry of Tourism, Culture, Youth and Environment, and Telsim Vodafone.

The agreement was signed by Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Tourism, Culture, Youth and Environment Fikri Ataoğlu, Telsim General Manager Sefer Tüz, and Director of the Geology and Mining Department Ayşen Albayrak.

According to information provided by the Ministry, the protocol aims to enhance earthquake awareness nationwide, increase public consciousness, and strengthen technical infrastructure through coordinated efforts.

The initiative is expected to contribute to better preparedness and resilience across the country in the face of potential seismic risks.
