Candidate banner covered, village banners taken down

A warning was issued to the Republican Turkish Party (CTP) İskele branch regarding banners hung before the official election campaign period began, according to reports. Following the warning from the Supreme Election Board (YSK), the candidate’s banner displayed on the district building was covered, and banners put up in surrounding villages were reportedly taken down.

Under the election timetable, where the official campaign period is scheduled to begin on November 10, all campaigning activities must be conducted within the framework of relevant election rules.

The development has once again highlighted the regulations that political parties and candidates must comply with before the official campaign period begins.
