UBP to determine parliamentary candidates via electronic voting on October 24, Savaşan announces
National Unity Party (UBP) Secretary-General Ahmet Savaşan has announced that the party’s parliamentary candidates will be determined via electronic voting on October 24.
Speaking on the programme “Açık Konuşalım,” hosted by Levent Kutay and Baykan Gürses on BRT, Savaşan stated that the decision to conduct the candidate selection process electronically was made today by the UBP parliamentary group.
Highlighting that the party has 23,000 members, Savaşan noted that approximately half of them typically cast their votes.
He also noted that quota candidates would be selected from among individuals capable of serving the country, but who may have a relatively lower chance of being elected in primary votes held among party members.
